Ahmanet's sarcophagus is the sarcophagus that the Ancient Egyptian princess Ahmanet was placed in after the Assassination of Menehptre.

History[]

Ahmanet's Campaign[]

Assassination of Menehptre[]

In 2983 B.C., the Ancient Egyptian princess Ahmanet assassinated her family as part of her quest for power. When Ahmanet attempted to sacrifice her lover to Set, her actions were discovered by the temple priests, her lover was executed, and Ahmanet was forcibly mummified alive. Ahmanet's entire body, save for her eyes, was wrapped in linen bandages, she was placed in a sarcophagus of wood, and the wood sarcophagus was placed in another sarcophagus made of stone. The stone sarcophagus was transported from Egypt to what would eventually become Mosul, Iraq, and a tomb was constructed around the sarcophagus. The sarcophagus was submerged in mercury to cancel out Ahmanet's dark powers and to ensure that Ahmanet would never walk the Earth again.[1]

Retrieval of Ahmanet's sarcophagus[]

Ahmanet's sarcophagus remained buried in the sand until June 9, 2017, when an airstrike called in by Chris Vail during the Battle of Mosul inadvertently revealed Ahmanet's tomb. Under orders from Colonel Greenway, the tomb was investigated by Nick Morton, Chris Vail, and Prodigium archaeologist Jennifer Halsey. While investigating the tomb, Morton shot a contraption which lifted Ahmanet's sarcophagus out of the mercury pool. This allowed Ahmanet to use her powers once more; Ahmanet proceeded to use her powers to control a camel spider to bite Vail.[1]

The trio lifted the sarcophagus into an airplane which was set for Prodigium Headquarters in London, England. During the flight, Halsey read the hieroglyphs inscribed on the exterior of the sarcophagus and learned about the person inside. While this was occurring, Ahmanet possessed Vail through the camel spider bite. A possessed Vail attempted to open the sarcophagus, and when Greenway tried to stop him, Vail murdered Greenway. After Morton shot Vail to death, Ahmanet summoned a murder of crows which killed the pilots and caused the plane to crash, killing everyone save for Halsey. Ahmanet's sarcophagus was destroyed in the crash, and Ahmanet roamed free once more.[1]
