  • The group Seven Jackals is named after the Hill of the Seven Jackals, a location featured in the movie.
  • The characters John Banning, Dr. Charles Petrie, and Kharis are references to the characters Steve Banning, Dr. Petrie, and Kharis, with the latter two being modeled after the original characters' respective actors Charles Trowbridge and Tom Tyler. Additionally, Jensen is possibly named after Babe Jenson.
